Sharing our journey as witches, practice, ritual, spell work, and how to transform yourself and your life through Magick.
Both Kristal & Kate have a passion to bring Witchcraft out into the open. Allow a place where listeners, practitioners and the curious can come together in magick.
We will discuss our own practice, practical witchcraft tips, putting knowledge to practice and just generally doing witchy shit out in the open.

Episode 5 | Guardians at the Gate: Crafting Protections & Wards
Guardians at the Gate: Crafting Protections & Wards
Summary: In this episode, Kristal and Kate chat about wards and protections. They discuss deities, spirits, objects and symbols typically used, and then share wards and protections they use for themselves.
Show Notes
Intro & Invocation (0:00-5:18)
Wards are important basics of witchcraft for protecting your energies. Mostly not from attack, but simply from the tangles and smudges of daily life. Kristal describes salt as the most basic protection tool because it contains all the elements: earth, water, fire and air. Be sure to cleanse before you set up a ward so you don’t trap the old energy in with you. (5:19-15:01)
You can also work with spirits and deities for your protection. Think of the spirit of your home (or car) as a partner in protection. Kate shares a story of inviting a domovoy to protect her front door. Kristal works closely with the spirit of her home as part of her daily practice. She delves into the wards she places on her land. (15:02-21:10)
Symbols that are good for warding: pentagram, pentacle, equal armed cross, symbol of the horned god, and symbol of the triple goddess. (21:11-23:56)
You can bless and charge things you put on your body to make them wards, such as jewelry, tattoos, glasses, medicine, bodily fluids, face wash, or you can make spell jars or talismans to carry with you. You can smoke cleanse with wood, incense, resins, herbs because once again, it contains all the elements. (25:37-34:04)
Kristal and Kate go on a delightful tangent about tampons and blood magic before Kristal instructs on making protective spell jars. (34:05-40:10)
They discuss the difference between protecting person vs. property. Usually, when it’s about land and property, it’s less visible or less conspicuous. They share their personal strategies and tools. (40:11-46:01)
Final thoughts and call-to-action: Tell us about the wards and protections you’re making
